HHS Awards $96M to Treat Addiction & Mental Illness Among Homeless

Oct. 2, 2026 – The funding will help communities build coordinated systems of care for people who are homeless and have serious mental illness, substance use disorders or co-occurring disorders. The program combines street-based engagement and treatment with recovery supports, housing and other community services.
